Macon County CASA made official a new community partnership with PawPrint Ministries. PawPrint comfort dog, Remington’s PawPrints “Remi”, was sworn in by Judge Thomas Little as a CASA advocate comfort dog! Remi has already provided his services to CASA children in different ways including his presence at Camp CASA with over 40 local foster children last month.
Remi’s newest CASA/PawPrint role is to be present in the hallways of the Macon County courthouse during the juvenile advocacy court docket each Wednesday morning. He will use his thorough PawPrint training to make children and families waiting for their case to feel safe and more at ease during the tough waiting of what is to come next.
With Remi’s help, Macon County CASA is proud to accomplish our goals of a safe and consistent presence for our community’s foster children…now in the courthouse halls!
Please, help us welcome Remington to the CASA team and keep your eyes out for all of Remi’s work in the Macon County community!
